Plug: Have just booked eight tickets for the Rocky Horror Show performance at the Mayflower Theatre, 18th January showing, for the people who have confirmed with me. We're in seats C13-20 for anyone who wants to book close to us. Will get tickets out as soon as possible to Bert, Shanna, Andi, Nermal, Becky, Cat, Kay and Me. :oD Click here for ticket details: linky
Note: The Rocky Horror Show is showing at the Mayflower Theatre (Southampton) again between Monday 18th and Saturday 23rd January 2010 (on sale from Monday 29th). I'll possibly be doing similar to last time and trying to do a group booking, but it depends on how much enthusiasm there is :oP

Link: Best Interview Ever! :oD I just discovered this on ciphergoth's postBasically, the new elected Mayor for Doncaster is Peter Davies of the English Democrat Party. Taking a look at the website, the party seems to be about protecting that most oppressed of groups... the English. After suggesting that England should have it's own parliament it devolves into the more usual anti-EU, anti-immigrant, anti-gay and anti-PC lark. Click here for the transcript. Click here for the recording. If anyone ever doubts that these sorts of parties would have no idea what to do with themselves if put in power then they just need to listen to the above.
Note: I just voted, hope everyone else did too. There's an bewildering amount of anti-EU parties on the ballot but important thing would seem to be to make sure that someone other than the BNP gets the seats :o) Here is a list of all the parties running: linky (including the 'Roman, Ave!' party, which is apparently a taxi driver who lives in Reading)

Yay: Well done America :oD If nothing else, the rather intense and positive response from so many people on my lj seems to suggest this may be a possible turning point for international opinion of the USA.
